How to set up a SYSPRO 8 server to enable scripting on the server
- The Cadacus Support Library dated on or after September 27, 2024 must be installed on the server
- On the server start a command prompt (CMD) as administrator. One way to do this is type CMD into the Windows search bar. When the "Command Prompt" comes up in the list, right-click it and choose "Run as Administrator". This is different from being logged in as an administrator and running the command prompt, so do the "Run as Administrator" even if logged in as an administrator. The next step may not work if the properly if this is not done corrected. The title of the window will be "Administrator: Command Prompt" if done correctly.
- Enter the following command (include the quotes) - regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Cadacus\SFS Support\CadacusSFStsc64.dll"
- Windows should respond with a "... Succeeded" message
- In the main EDI system setup in SYSPRO, set the scripting option to perform scripts on the server.
Notes:
- At this time, this process should be considered beta. If there are any issues found, please report them to your support provider.
- If the support library had previously been installed on a client for the purpose of running EDI scripts it may be removed.
