LTL Rate Imports

 Updating LTL Carrier Rates

Follow the instructions below for each carrier.  The instructions assume the rating software for the carrier has already been installed.

Currently Supported Carrier Rate Imports

If there is a carrier which is not on the above list, please contact us for instructions for providing the information/rating programs needed to add them to the supported carrier list.
 
The following carrier rating programs have been looked at, but they do not provide a usable rate export.
  • R&L Carriers
  • Benton Express
  • ABF Freight System
  • Southeastern Freight Lines
 

 AAA Cooper Transportation

  • Run the AAA Cooper Transportation Rating program
  • Select  "File, PriceSheet" from the menu.
  • Add any "Ship From" zipcodes to the "Headline Zip Codes" list
  • Choose "Export Flat" from the Output options and enter a filename for the export.
  • Click "Outbound" under Direction
  • Click "All" under weghts
  • Click "All" under classes (optionally select just the classes that are needed).
  • Click "Start".
  • Optional: save the setup to reuse for the next pricing update
  • If the rate file wasn't exported onto the SYSPRO application, copy or move it to a directory on the application server.
  • Start SYSPRO and in the EDI/Shipping Cross-References, run the "Carrier LTL Pricing" cross-reference
  • Select "Import, Import Rate File".
  • Select the SCAC code
  • Enter the path and name of the export file created above
  • Select "SMC Export File" from the "Import Type" list
  • Click "Import"

 Averitt Express

  • Run the Averitt Express Rating program
  • Select  "File, PriceSheet" from the menu.
  • Add any "Ship From" zipcodes to the "Headline Zip Codes" list
  • Choose "Export Flat" from the Output options and enter a filename for the export.
  • Click "Outbound" under Direction
  • Click "All" under weghts
  • Click "All" under classes (optionally select just the classes that are needed).
  • Click "Start".
  • Optional: save the setup to reuse for the next pricing update
  • If the rate file wasn't exported onto the SYSPRO application, copy or move it to a directory on the application server.
  • Start SYSPRO and in the EDI/Shipping Cross-References, run the "Carrier LTL Pricing" cross-reference
  • Select "Import, Import Rate File".
  • Select the SCAC code
  • Enter the path and name of the export file created above
  • Select "SMC Export File" from the "Import Type" list
  • Click "Import"

Central Transport

  • Run the Central Transport Shipment Rating Program
  • Select "Window, Speed Sheet" from the main menu
  • In the "Headline ZIP Code " box, select "From" and enter the warehouse zip code. (Note: If there are more then one warehouse, repeat the export for each zip code using a separate export file each time)
  • In the "Sideline ZIP Codes" box, enter "ALL" in the first space
  • In the "Classes" box, select the classes required.
  • In the "Weight Groups" select the highest weight required.
  • Clickthe "Make" button
  • In the next window, select "File" and ciick "Next"
  • In the next window, select "ASCII Data", enter a file name for the export and click the "Finish" button
  • If the rate file wasn't exported onto the SYSPRO application, copy or move it to a directory on the application server.
  • Start SYSPRO and in the EDI/Shipping Cross-References, run the "Carrier LTL Pricing" cross-reference
  • Select "Import, Import Rate File".
  • Select the SCAC code
  • Enter the path and name of the export file created above
  • Select "Central Transport Speed Sheet" from the "Import Type" list
  • Enter the proper "From" zip code for the speed sheet.
  • Click "Import"

 FedEx Freight

  • Run the FedEx Freight Rating program
  • Select  "File, PriceSheet" from the menu.
  • Add any "Ship From" zipcodes to the "Headline Zip Codes" list
  • Choose "Export Flat" from the Output options and enter a filename for the export.
  • Click "Outbound" under Direction
  • Click "All" under weghts
  • Click "All" under classes (optionally select just the classes that are needed).
  • Click "Start".
  • Optional: save the setup to reuse for the next pricing update
  • If the rate file wasn't exported onto the SYSPRO application, copy or move it to a directory on the application server.
  • Start SYSPRO and in the EDI/Shipping Cross-References, run the "Carrier LTL Pricing" cross-reference
  • Select "Import, Import Rate File".
  • Select the SCAC code
  • Enter the path and name of the export file created above
  • Select "FedEx Export File" from the "Import Type" list
  • Click "Import"

 OD North American

  • Run the OD North American Rater
  • Select  "File, Rate Sheet" from the menu.
  • Enter the "Ship From" zipcode in the "Headline Zip" field
  • Enter "US" in the first field under "Low"
  • Click "Select All" under weghts
  • Click "Select All" under classes (optionally select just the classes that are needed).
  • Click "Print".
  • Uncheck the "Printer" box and check "Export Format Ascii File"
  • Enter a file name for the export file.
  • Select "w/o Notes (5-digit)".
  • Click "OK"
  • If the rate file wasn't exported onto the SYSPRO application, copy or move it to a directory on the application server.
  • Start SYSPRO and in the EDI/Shipping Cross-References, run the "Carrier LTL Pricing" cross-reference
  • Select "Import, Import Rate File".
  • Select the SCAC code
  • Enter the path and name of the export file created above
  • Select "OD North American File" from the "Import Type" list
  • Click "Import"

 Roadrunner Transportation Services

  • Run the RRTS Rating System
  • Select  "File, PriceSheet" from the menu.
  • Add any "Ship From" zipcodes to the "Headline Zip Codes" list
  • Choose "Export Flat" from the Output options and enter a filename for the export.
  • Click "All" under weghts
  • Click "All" under classes (optionally select just the classes that are needed).
  • Click "Start".
  • Optional: save the setup to reuse for the next pricing update
  • If the rate file wasn't exported onto the SYSPRO application, copy or move it to a directory on the application server.
  • Start SYSPRO and in the EDI/Shipping Cross-References, run the "Carrier LTL Pricing" cross-reference
  • Select "Import, Import Rate File".
  • Select the SCAC code
  • Enter the path and name of the export file created above
  • Select "SMC Export File" from the "Import Type" list
  • Click "Import"

Roadway

  • Run Roadway Expresswords
  • Select  "Run, Rate Quotes, Rate Export" from the menu.
  • Enter the "Ship From" zipcode in the "ZIp Code" field
  • Choose "Generic LTL - Fixed Length Format" from the Output options.
  • Enter a filename for the export in the "Output Filename" field
  • Click "Select All" under classes (optionally select just the classes that are needed).
  • Click "Compute".
  • If the rate file wasn't exported onto the SYSPRO application, copy or move it to a directory on the application server.
  • Start SYSPRO and in the EDI/Shipping Cross-References, run the "Carrier LTL Pricing" cross-reference
  • Select "Import, Import Rate File".
  • Select the SCAC code
  • Enter the path and name of the export file created above
  • Select "Roadway Generic LTL File" from the "Import Type" list
  • Click "Import"

 SAIA

  • Run the SAIA SuperRater+
  • Select  "File, PriceSheet" from the menu.
  • Add any "Ship From" zipcodes to the "Headline Zip Codes" list
  • Choose "Export Flat" from the Output options and enter a filename for the export.
  • Click "All" under weghts
  • Click "All" under classes (optionally select just the classes that are needed).
  • Click "Start".
  • Optional: save the setup to reuse for the next pricing update
  • If the rate file wasn't exported onto the SYSPRO application, copy or move it to a directory on the application server.
  • Start SYSPRO and in the EDI/Shipping Cross-References, run the "Carrier LTL Pricing" cross-reference
  • Select "Import, Import Rate File".
  • Select the SCAC code
  • Enter the path and name of the export file created above
  • Select "SMC Export File" from the "Import Type" list
  • Click "Import"


 UPS Freight

  • Run the UPS Freight LTL Rating System
  • Select  "File, Rate Sheet" from the menu.
  • Enter the "Ship From" zipcode in the "Headline Zip" field
  • Enter "US" in the first field under "Low"
  • Click "Select All" under weghts
  • Click "Select All" under classes (optionally select just the classes that are needed).
  • Click "Print".
  • Uncheck the "Printer" box and check "Export Format Ascii File"
  • Click on the "Output File" button and enter a file name for the export file.
  • Click "OK"
  • If the rate file wasn't exported onto the SYSPRO application, copy or move it to a directory on the application server.
  • Start SYSPRO and in the EDI/Shipping Cross-References, run the "Carrier LTL Pricing" cross-reference
  • Select "Import, Import Rate File".
  • Select the SCAC code
  • Enter the path and name of the export file created above
  • Select "UPS Export" from the "Import Type" list
  • Click "Import"

 USF

  • Run Accu-Rate
  • Select  "File, PriceSheet" from the menu.
  • Enter the ship from zipcode in the "Headline Zip" field
  • Choose "File - Export Flat" from the Output options and enter a file for the export
  • Click "All" under weghts
  • Click "All" under classes (optionally select just the classes that are needed).
  • Click "Start".
  • Optional: save the setup to reuse for the next pricing update
  • If the rate file wasn't exported onto the SYSPRO application, copy or move it to a directory on the application server.
  • Start SYSPRO and in the EDI/Shipping Cross-References, run the "Carrier LTL Pricing" cross-reference
  • Select "Import, Import Rate File".
  • Select the SCAC code
  • Enter the path and name of the export file created above
  • Select "Accu-Rate Export File" from the "Import Type" list
  • Click "Import"
