Release Information

In the latest release the work in the shipping solution to support real-time G/L while processing Dispatch Notes has continued.  When processing a dispatch note through the system  and in order to update the dispatch note via the SYSPRO business object, it is necessary to clear the dispatch notes and then reload the lines from the sales order.   We have endeavored to test the changes as thoroughly as possible, but as all releases share the same code base there is always the possibility of an unforeseen complication.  If any problems arise, please notify us..

In the previous release the ability to create Dispatch Notes in the Shipping Solution in SYSPRO 6.0 Issue 10 was terminated because of problems in the SYSPRO Business Objects.  In the current release the ability to maintain Dispatch Notes has also been terminated due to the same issues. Any company using SYSPRO 6.0 Issue 10 that requires this feature should not install the latest release.  Shipping against a dispatch note with the "Update Orders" flag disabled should continue to function if the use of the shipping solution is for shipping purposed only and the shipment matches the dispatch exactly, so no update is required.

A release candidate release for SYSPRO 7 has been posted on our Cadacus website.  Anyone in the release candidate program is welcome to install the release for testing.  Companies converting data from earlier versions of SYSPRO should first run the database conversion (EDICNV if C-ISAM or EDIUpdate.sql if SQL).  If using a SQL company the script EDISyspro7.sql needs to be run against the database).  Finally, run EDICV7 in SYSPRO.
