FOB Tab


The FOB screen is used to define the F.O.B. Transportation Instructions for the FOB Segment.



The following table outlines the prompts/options available when accessing this screen:



FOB Segment Information

The FOB01 Element is used to specify the Shipment Method Payment

Include FOB Segment

Select if the FOB Segment is required to be sent in the 856 document

FOB01 Code if Freight Charge on Order:

The FOB01 Code is used to specify payment terms for transportation charges. Enter the FOB code to be used if a freight charge is included on the order, e.g. PC = Prepaid but charged to customer, CC = Collect, etc.

FOB01 Code if No Freight Charge on Order:

Enter freight code if the freight charge is not included on the order.

FOB01 Code if Negative Freight Charge on Order:

Enter the freight code to use if a negative freight charge is on the order.

FOB Address X-Ref Code:

Enter or browse to select the FOB X-Ref Code for the FOB Address

Include FOB04

Select if the FOB04 element is required to be sent in the 856 document. The FOB04 Element is used to define the Transportation Terms Qualifier Code identifying the source of of the transportation terms

Include FOB05

Select if the FOB05 element is required to be sent in the 856 document. The FOB05 is a code used to identify the trade terms which apply to the shipment transportation responsibility.

Look for comment with FOB Information

Select to extract the FOB Freight Charge information from a comment line on the Sales Order.  The comment line on the Sales Order must be preceded with "FOB [space]"

Select if not required

FOB02, 03

Select to send the FOB02,03 Elements in the 856 document. The FOB02 Element is used to identify the type of Location identifier used e.g., DE = Destination. The FOB03 Element is a free-form description to clarify the related data element and their content.

FOB06, 07

Select to send the FOB06,07 Elements in the 856 document. The FOB06 is a code identifying the type of location identifier, e.g. AC = City and State. The FOB07 Element is a free form description to clarify the related data element and their content, e.g. FOB Destination.
