BSN Element 01:

Enter the code to identify the purpose of the transaction set, e.g. 0 = Original.

Ask for BSN01 Code at runtime

Select if you want to be prompted for BSN01 code at the time the 856 is run.  The system will prompt a message requesting the code.

BSN Element 02

Select the preferred option to uniquely identify the shipment

(Default) Send Shipment if using shipping system, otherwise send Bill of Lading

The Shipment number will be sent if using the shipping system. If not using the shipping system then the Bill of Lading will be sent.

Send Shipment Number

Select if the Shipment Number is to be sent to identify the shipment.

Send Bill of Lading Number

Select if the Bill of Lading Number is to be sent to identify the shipment.

Send Dispatch Note Number

Select to use the Dispatch Note Number to identify the shipment.

Send Order Number

Select to send the Order Number to identify the shipment.

Send Invoice Number

Select to send the Invoice Number to identify the shipment.

Send Special PRO/Tracking Number

Select to send the PRO or Tracking Number to identify the shipment

Send Special Instructions

Select if special instructions are to be used to identify the shipment

Send Purchase Order Number

Select to send th Purchase Orders Number to identify the shipment

Send Shipment USER1 Info

Minimum Length of BSN02:   Leave at zero for variable length, Maximum fixed length is 20

Enter the minimum length for the BSN02 Element (Leave at zero for variable length, Maximum fixed length is 20.

BSN Element 04 - Time

The BSN Element is to define the time format for the time transmission was sent.

Send as HHMM

Select to send the time in the HHMM format (Hours, Minutes)

Send as HHMMSS

Select to send in the HHMMSS format (Hours, Minutes, Seconds)

Send as HHMMSShh

Select to send in HHMMSShh format (Hours, Minutes, Seconds, Hundredths of a Second)

Do Not Send

Select if BSN04 Element is not required to be sent.

BSN Element 05

The BSN05 Element is the Hierarchal structure code indicating the structure of the ANS.

Include

Select if BSN05 Element is required.

Don't Include

Select if BSN04 Element is not required to be sent.

Override of system selection of BSNO5:

Enter the preferred Hierarchical levels to override the system default selection.

BSN Element 06: Enter code for BSN06 (Transaction Type Code) if required.

Enter the code specifying the Transaction Type if required.

BSN Element 07: Enter code for BSN07 (Status Reason Code) if required.

Enter the code specifying the Status Reason if required.
