REF Tab
The REF (Reference Identification) screen is used to define the elements required for the REF Segment. The type of information contained in the elements refers to information such as contract numbers, method of shipment, Truckers PRO number, Bill of Lading numbers, Vendor's payment reference number and various other references relating to the shipment. The REF screen is also used to select the the HL Structure Level(s) as to where the information is to be output in the 856 document.

The following table outlines the prompts/options available when accessing this screen:
REF Segment Information Qualifiers - You can select a maximum of 14 REF Qualifiers. The REF Qualifiers must be set up in Cross-Reference maintenance/Reference Qualifier (REF,N9,RFF,PER) or you can add the qualifier when Browsing if the qualifier is not already set up Cross-Reference Maintenance. The setup screens are the identical. Output Levels - For each qualifier select the Structure level(s) to define where the information will be output in the 856 document. All output levels can be selected per qualifier or a combination of Item, Order, Tare or Pack levels can be selected providing the level has been selected on the HL Tab. Required - The Required checkbox must be checked for each qualifier selected. |
