Item Description

Product description may differ between EDI and SYSPRO. The system is able to use either description. In addition, the order can use the normal SYSPRO description and reflect the EDI description by way of comment. The system can also report on EDI descriptions or both report and display comments.  Select from the following options the description method required.

Use SYSPRO Product Description only

Select to only use the SYSPRO Product Description

Use the EDI Product Description

Select to use the product description from the EDI document.

Add comment with EDI Description(s)

Select to add EDI Description as a Sales order comment.  The SYSPRO description will be used in the stock line.

Report EDI Description(s)

Select to include EDI Description in the Import Report

Add Comments and Report EDI Description(s)

Select to both add the EDI Description as comments to the Sales Order as well as the EDI Description to the Import report.
