The PID (Product Item Description) form is used to specify the description of the product or process in coded or free-form format.



The following table outlines the prompts/options available when accessing this screen:



Include PID Segment

Select if the PID is required by the Trading Partner

Select to use inventory item description

Select if your Trading Partner does not require a PID segment.

PID02 Qualifier:

Enter or browse Item Descriptions to select the qualifier to be sent in the PID 02.  The qualifier is set in the Cross-Reference Maintenance/Item Description Qualifiers (PID)
